Christian Artists Fellowship Gatherings

CAF chapters have monthly gatherings of people who are committed to ministering the Gospel through the arts. At CAF, we seek to mentor these ministry-oriented musicians & artists by providing an environment that envisions, equips, connects and mobilizes them to take action to make Christ an unavoidable issue in the marketplaces of their regions. We hope to develop a platform to passionately communicate the need for ministry opportunities for young musicians and artist to encourage them to become Ephesians 4 minister-equipper who will in turn mobilize volunteers and professionals in community and short term or career mission and ministry opportunities.

Plans for 2006 include developing CAF Student Chapters at several Christian colleges and Universities. We also have several new chapters beginning the first quarter of 2006. CAF Far East Bay located in the bay area of California will be coordinated through Wayne Tilden of Light the World Ministries. Scott Dotta of the Retro Room Ministries will be coordinating CAF Lynnville chapter.

To begin 2006 at CAF Nashville, our first gathering focused on ministry. We began our gathering with a time of worship and praise followed by information on several of our local ministries concerning the Women’s Prison, Davidson County Jail and the Nashville Rescue Mission.  Discussions focused on how Prison Ministry can help local artists further develop their ministry skills including transitions and effective evangelistic closings.  Our Spotlight Band was Other Tongues.  Several members of this newly formed band have shared at the Davidson County Jail.

If you feel God’s encouragement to lead and organize a Christian Artist Fellowship chapter in your area, Please contact Lee Porter at Lee@ACTinternational.org or call 615-376-7861 for more information.
